Commissioned under Severn Trent’s AMP7 programme the critical infrastructure upgrade project at Haxey Graizelound Sewage Treatment Works (STW) in North Lincolnshire aimed to ensure the site meets stringent environmental standards for ammonia and phosphorus removal while improving overall resilience and operational efficiency.

To meet the project’s dual requirements, Dutypoint provided:

A VT3 Cold Water Booster Set for final effluent washwater
A VT2 Cold Water Booster Set for potable water supply

A dual-system approach for critical water supply needs

Both pump systems were designed, manufactured, and factory-tested at Dutypoint’s dedicated production facility in Gloucester, before being delivered as complete, pre-assembled plug-and-play units.

The final effluent washwater system was supplied within a fully weatherproof GRP kiosk, ensuring a resilient, long-term solution that protects against harsh outdoor conditions. Designed to support site washdown and maintenance processes, the cold water booster set was built for high flow and pressure reliability, key to effective cleaning and hygiene at the works.

Part of a National Effort to Upgrade Wastewater Infrastructure

The Haxey Graizelound STW upgrade is part of Severn Trent’s broader strategy to modernise its wastewater treatment assets and achieve Water Framework Directive compliance. It showcases how supply chain specialists like Dutypoint play a crucial role in delivering sustainable, regulatory-compliant infrastructure through intelligent product design and offsite manufacturing.
