Job Description
The Water Non-Infra Senior Design Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the engineering design. In this role, you will:
- Be part of one of the most successful, award-winning and progressive UK water sector delivery organisations.
- Lead and develop your engineering design team to develop engineering design strategies and solutions.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior General Manager, Commercial Manager and Construction Manager to deliver best value solutions.
- Develop new ways of working to reduce carbon, increase biodiversity, address climate change, and embrace innovations and new digital technologies.
- Grow your professional internal and external networks with a multitude of partners that form the @one Alliance.
- Jointly develop strategies for AMP8.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Engineering degree.
- Preferably a chartered engineer or working towards chartered status.
- Experience of designing multi-disciplinary water industry capital projects, from solution to detailed design.
- An experienced manager of people and teams, developing others, and managing staff welfare.
- Experience, or a strong understanding of construction, procurement, and commissioning.
- Proven record in delivering design projects to program, budget, and quality requirements, and managing competing tensions.
- Proven ability to manage designer’s responsibilities under CDM.

Candidate Specification
- Must have experience using Autodesk Revit.
- Ability to communicate on technical issues.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
