Job Description

The Water Non-Infra Senior Design Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of the engineering design. In this role, you will:

Be part of one of the most successful, award-winning and progressive UK water sector delivery organisations.
Lead and develop your engineering design team to develop engineering design strategies and solutions.
Work collaboratively with the Senior General Manager, Commercial Manager and Construction Manager to deliver best value solutions.
Develop new ways of working to reduce carbon, increase biodiversity, address climate change, and embrace innovations and new digital technologies.
Grow your professional internal and external networks with a multitude of partners that form the @one Alliance.
Jointly develop strategies for AMP8.

Qualifications & Competencies

Engineering degree.
Preferably a chartered engineer or working towards chartered status.
Experience of designing multi-disciplinary water industry capital projects, from solution to detailed design.
An experienced manager of people and teams, developing others, and managing staff welfare.
Experience, or a strong understanding of construction, procurement, and commissioning.
Proven record in delivering design projects to program, budget, and quality requirements, and managing competing tensions.
Proven ability to manage designer’s responsibilities under CDM.
